Assessment tests

Assessment tests are always a component of an assessment. Digital or written tests are used to research different matters related to the candidates.

Assessment test types

A number of tests is often used in assessments. An IQ test for example is hardly ever left out, and a personality test and career test also are regulars in an assessment.

Then there are the ability tests. These tests are focused more on skills than characteristics such as your personality and IQ. For these tests you often have to perform an assignment that intends to show whether you have mastered certain skills.

Preparation for assessment tests

To prepare for your assessment you can practice by taking various online tests. For example, you can practice by taking the free IQ test. By taking different online tests you practice the timing and experience the way questions are asked, and in addition train your memory and intellect.

Online assessment tests

In some cases these assessment tests can be taken from home. In that case you will take the test in a secure online environment and the results will immediately be sent to the assessor. Usually you will receive the outcome of online assessment tests faster than when you take the test on-site. Another possibility is that you take the digital or written tests in a controlled environment at the assessment company or in the company itself.

The results

The results of the different tests you take during an assessment by themselves are not decisive in determining the final outcome of the assessment. Combined with the results of interviews, practical assignments and role plays they form the end result. The results will be reflected in the assessment report, which the candidate can always inspect first.

The IQ test or intelligence test always is part of an assessment. Read more about the different types of IQ tests and intelligence tests, and practice one or more of the tests.
